Sir,

I have the honour to refer to my telegram

No.134 of the 1st February, 1948, on the subject of a

fire on River Steamer "Kwong Tung", registered at

Hong Kong, on the 31st January, 1948, and to transmit

for your information a copy of the findings of the

Marine Court, which I appointed under Section 19 (1)

of the Marine Shipping Ordinance No.10 of 1899 to

investigate this disaster. A more detailed report

on the proceedings of the Court of Enquiry will be

forwarded as soon as possible.
